Karl Kuenhold has been practicing law since 2008. He graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a BA in International Relations and Affairs, and later obtained his law degree from the University of Denver – Sturm College of Law. His law career began in the Office of the District Attorney in Pueblo, CO, where he tried over 60 cases, ranging from murder to sexual assault. After six years as a prosecutor, he began practicing in private practice in Pueblo for two years handling criminal defense, personal injury and worker’s compensation cases. In 2017, yearning to return the San Luis Valley, he opened this firm in 2017. Attorney Karl Kuenhold is well known for his knowledge of law, his careful preparation, and his willingness to try even the most difficult cases.
Johanna Hendley began her law career in 2017 as in house counsel with Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, where she worked for nearly three years gaining experience in title insurance, real estate, contract dispute, probate, and corporations. Realizing she missed being in the courtroom, she transitioned into a position as Deputy District Attorney in the 12th Judicial District, handling cases ranging from traffic tickets to attempted homicides and sexual assaults. She joined the firm in December of 2020 to continue helping people in the San Luis Valley. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, she graduated in 2013 with a major in history and a minor in psychology from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee before obtaining her law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law in Boulder, Colorado. In addition to being an associate with the firm, she is also an adjunct professor at Adams State University.
